I have a document which contains a number of images and an attribute named "*Object Type" which includes a value of "Figure", "Text", and "Heading" to help our RPE specification determine how to display the associated object. I am trying to create a script which checks to make sure that the user has set the Object Type correctly, but I am having issues with some of the "Figure" objects. Most of the figure images were imported into the document correctly by importing it from a document - which makes them OLE objects. However, there are a few images that were brought in using copy and paste. These images, are not seen by DOORS as OLE objects, so I'm unable to use the containsOle function (or any other Ole function) to determine if the object contains an image. So my question is... How do I determine if an objects with an attribute of "Figure" really does contain an image?

Re: DXL: Finding Non-OLE images If they are not OLEs, then they are DOORS picture objects. You can find if an object is a picture object if it "Picture" attribute is set to true. Note: Picture attribute is so called "Advanced system attribute". To see these attributes in the DOORS UI, you have to modify Tools / Options / Settings to show these. Of course the attribute value can be seen through DXL even though they are not visible in the UI. |
